How should I clean my Modo and Dume Covers?Updated 2 months ago

Easy Care Tips

Vegan Leather / Outdoor Covers: Clean the whole surface in circular motions using liquid hand soap and water (1 part soap to 9 parts water). Wipe with a clean damp cloth to get rid of any excess soap. Repeat as needed and then let dry.

Performance Fabric / Velvet: For a deeper clean, we recommend either sending the covers to a dry cleaner or machine-washing them on a delicate cycle with cold water, using a mild detergent.

Air dry or hang to dry, avoiding direct sunlight. If ironing is needed, use a low heat setting. Always test the temperature on a hidden area first to avoid damaging the fabric, and iron on the inside of the cover.

Our cotton covers have a fabric protection against stains. In general, we recommend using a hand vacuum (no brush) to remove any dust.

For most small stains: Blot the spill immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Mix equal parts white vinegar and water and apply the solution to the stain. Blot with a clean cloth and repeat as necessary. If the stain persists, mix a small amount of dish soap with water and apply it to the stain.

Spot Cleaning Your Covers

Act quickly when a spill occurs — blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing, as this can push the stain deeper into the fabric.

  • Oil or food stains: Sprinkle talcum powder over the stain to absorb the liquid before cleaning.

  • Mix equal parts white vinegar and water, apply to the stain, and blot with a clean cloth. Repeat as needed. If the stain persists, use a small amount of dish soap mixed with water and blot gently.
